Region VI Student Representative
Hi everyone! My name is Chris Gormley and am your Region VI Student Representative. I am currently serving my second year as the Graduate Assistant of Intramural Sports at Oregon State University. I want to thank everyone for your support and am looking forward to an exciting year!
This page will serve as a great resource to learn about NIRSA and all it has to offer. Throughout the year it will be updated with important links, deadlines, forms and information. At any time you are also welcome to contact me with any questions.
Region VI is extremely strong because of our great students and their involvement so I am proud to be representing each and every one of you. We are going to do some great things this year!
Region VI Student Lead On – November 2, 2008
This year’s Lead On will take place at UC Davis. They have a beautiful campus and facility. We expect a really great conference this year and they are excited to be hosting.
Staci Deluca is our Lead On Coordinator and she has been working extremely hard to make sure that everyone has a fulfilling experience come November.
Lead On is a great opportunity to share information and network with other students. Campus Rec would nothing without the students so let’s get together and help each other expand on the great things we are already doing on our campuses.
We have finalized our keynote speaker, Sue Enquist – Hall of Fame softball player and coach. Ms. Enquist has committed to giving our students a presentation prior her opening speech of the Regional Conference. We will also have a presentation from NIRSA Governance Commission members to provide updates and answer questions about the model recently sent to the NIRSA membership.
Presentation proposals are due by October 1, 2008. Send this form to Raylene Johns .
Contact Staci or myself if you have any questions or want to volunteer!
