Region IV Student Representative

Hello NIRSA. My Name is Jayson Anderson and I am your Region IV Student Representative. I am also the Facilities and Member Services Graduate Assistant at Stephen F. Austin State University Campus Recreation. I look forward to all of the exciting things that we have in store for this year! I am here to serve you NIRSA, so if you need anything just send me an email: andersonja1@sfasu.edu.

NIRSA and all of its associated campuses make up a great organization that provides opportunities for leadership and student development. I hope that you will take advantage of all of the conferences, tournaments, and opportunities that NIRSA has to offer. Please take a look at our upcoming events below for an opportunity near you.

We also have a NIRSA Region IV Facebook group. If you are a member of Facebook, please join our group to network and receive updates on NIRSA events. I also have a blog that you can follow that reflects on leadership and my journey as Region IV Student Representative.

If you would like to step into a leadership position, then become a Campus Contact. A Campus Contact is responsible for helping to inform their campus about opportunities is NIRSA. Campus Contacts also help recruit others on their campus to become NIRSA Members. If you are interested in becoming a Campus Contact fill out the application and send it to your NIRSA Student State Representative.

Leadership Opportunities

Students, if you are interested in a leadership opportunity, then fill out the 2010 Region IV Student Lead On Committee Application. This committee will be developing, organizing, and leading the Region IV Student Lead On and provides students with a great opportunity to receive great hands-on experience.

Starting in 2010, Student Members will have leadership opportunities to serve on the Member Network under the new NIRSA governance structure. Read more about available positions here.
