Rules of Play

USAV Rules will be used with following rules/modifications adopted for ALL divisions:

Libero Serving:
The Libero will be allowed to serve. In one rotation, the Libero may replace a player in position number one to serve in both men's and women's play.

Jersey Number Rule:
It is REQUIRED that the numbers must be a minimum of 4" in height on the chest and a minimum of 6" in height on the back. It is recommended that the numbers be a minimum of 6" in height on the chest and a minimum of 8" on the back. Centering of numbers on both the front and back of the uniform is REQUIRED by Nov. 1, 2007.

Uniforms will be checked prior to the tournament at team check in. Each colored jersey will be inspected.

Substitution:
1) The Libero replacement will be available for use to its full extent
2) Twelve team subs with or without the use of the Libero.

The Libero is designated by each game, and not by each match, and WILL be allowed to serve.

Scoring:
Scoring will remain with rally score to 25 points in all non-deciding games and rally score to 15 points in all deciding games. Deuce rule is effective.

If a team is reduced to less than 6 healthy players, they will be allowed to continue in the competition if they wish, but will play with a hole in their lineup.
