WOMEN'S DIVISION UPDATE 3-17-08

Adjustments to the Women's Divisions were made to accommodate an additional 24 women's teams. Instead of two Divisions (Division I – 60 teams & Division II – 24 teams), there will now be three women’s divisions: Division I – 48 teams; Division II – 48 teams; Division III – 12 teams.

The Women's Division I ranking committee met the week of March 10 and reviewed, evaluated, and discussed season and tournament results. It's the team's responsibility to submit scores for seeding consideration. From these discussions, the group placed teams into the three divisions:

Women's Division I - Top 48 teams in the country
Women's Division II - Teams seeded #49 - #96
Women's Division III - Top 12 "B" teams in the country.
