Hoop Shoot

Rules of Competition

  1. Divisions will be available for men and women. Participants may enter in either the hoop shoot, free throw competition, or both. An overall champion shall be determined as well as Hoop Shoot and Free Throw Champions in each divisions.
  2. Basketballs will be provided.
  3. Check in with the supervisor to get a score sheet. Go to one of the baskets, give your score sheet to the scorer and work into a rotation.

Free Throw

Participants will work into a rotation shooting five (5) shots, then rebound for others, shoot five (5), rebound, etc..., until twenty (20) shots are completed. If requested, one (1) practice shot may be taken before each set of five (5) shots.

Hoop Shoot

Participants will have two (2), 45-seconds rounds to shoot and make as many baskets as possible from designated spots on the court. Each designated spot will be assigned a point value. There must be one attempt from each spot and participants must have at least one (1) foot within the area of the designated spot at the beginning of a shot attempt. If requested, two (2) practice shots may be taken before starting the round. Students must rebound their own shots.
