Professional

Begin 22nd year at SIUC Fall 2004. Currently the Assistant Director of Intramural-Recreational Sports. Areas of responsibility include students with disabilities, youth and family, international student recreation and wheelchair sports.

Currently Adjuct Faculty for P.E. Dept. teaching adaptive methods coarse for the P.E. majors.

Taught health and physical education and coached volleyball, basketball, and track and field at Black Hawk East College in Kewanee, Illinois for two years.

Naturalist at Johnson Sauk Trail State Park, Kewanee, IL

Taught at Kellogg Community College in Battle Creek, Michigan for two years.

Personal

Born Dec. 6 in Battle Creek, Michigan. Hometown (pop.1401), Bellevue. Parents, brother, sister (deceased) are in Michigan. Have three nephews, a niece, and a grand nephew. Grew up on a dairy farm and 90 acres. Played high school basketball - 1 dribble, 3 dribble, rovers (6-person), and eventually 5-person (which initially was an experiment to see if girls could run the entire court).

Did you know...

I have a totem pole in my back yard

Did my student teaching in Southampton, England

Currently play the Native American Indian flute, as well as penny whistles and recorders

Played the clarinet for 8 years while in grade/high school

Officiated high school volleyball

Held the leads in high school plays

Enjoyed lots of bicycling and cross-country skiing

Golf when I can
