NIRSA Elections

A special election will be held March 2-16, 2012.  Members will vote on the proposed Mission Statement.  Electronic ballots for a proposed amendment to the Bylaws will be emailed to all current NIRSA Professional Members on March 2, 2012

January 4-18, 2012 NIRSA held electronic elections for the Board of Directors, Member Network candidates and NIRSA Bylaws amendments. Personalized ballots were emailed to all current NIRSA Members on the opening day of elections.

Out of 3,778 eligible voters, 1,068 complete ballots were cast (representing a voter turnout of 32% for Professional Members and 19% for Student Members) in the recent 2012 NIRSA elections.

Elected candidates will take up their positions during the 2012 Annual Conference & Recreational Sports Expo in Tampa, Florida, March 27-30, 2012.

In addition to electing NIRSA Board of Director and Member Network candidates, NIRSA Members overwhelmingly passed two proposed Bylaw amendments. To download the updated NIRSA Bylaws, click here.
