Membership Requirement Policy:

  • Lead presenters and assisting presenters for all educational sessions must hold current professional, life professional, emeritus, student, or associate NIRSA member status at the time of submission of the presentation proposal through the event.
  • Each confirmed member lead presenter and/or assisting presenter must pre-register for the event.

    • Is not employed within a recreational sports setting (even if employed by a college, university, etc., that has a recreational sports program).
    • Is not a full-time or part-time student enrolled in a leisure studies, recreation, recreational sports, or related academic program.
  • Complimentary conference registration will be provided to allow eligible exempt presenter(s) to attend ‘same day’ educational sessions. If eligible exempt presenters are interested in attending additional days, then they will be required to register.
  • Consideration for requests will be based on budget and membership considerations by NIRSA’s Executive Director or a designee.
