In order to effectively manage risk, campus recreation staff needs to clearly understand what negligence looks like in their specific job setting. Webinar #1 in this series explains negligence by focusing on the critical concept of 'reasonable standard of care'. Webinar #2 shows how the principles of negligence are then applied using the 'Risk Matrix' to develop workable Risk Management plans applicable to all job areas. Webinar #3 is aimed directly at part-time student staff and is designed to sharpen observation skills and make them aware of the importance of vigilance during their shift. Webinar #4 explains in simple layman terms the often misunderstood area of waivers and when they need to be applied in the campus recreation setting.
