NIRSA National Fitness & Wellness Institute
Presented by NIRSA • September 30-October 2, 2009 • Location: Atlanta, Georgia
The National Fitness & Wellness Institute focuses on fitness management and other issues in collegiate recreational sports. Because the event is highly specialized, attendees will learn a great deal about peer institutions, have numerous opportunities to network with colleagues, and gain valuable knowledge on trends and programs for the college and university setting. Each day will bring a variety of educational sessions designed to stimulate thought and generate questions.
Attendees will gain the tools and resources needed to run programs on their campuses or fitness centers. Whether you're interested in starting, maintaining and/or expanding programs, you will get valuable fitness related information in a welcoming setting.

What previous attendees have said about the 2007 National Fitness Institute
“The NIRSA Fitness Institute was definitely worth my time and energy. I really enjoyed learning from my colleagues and meeting other directors from around the country. Thank you for providing this opportunity, I plan on attending again!”
-Alexia Cervantes, UC San Diego
I thought the fitness institute was very worthwhile. I took away many new ideas/information and met many professionals. As a newer member of NIRSA, it gave me the opportunity to meet my counterparts from other universities and learn more about different campus recreation programs. The Fitness Institute committee did a great job of planning the event, communicating information to registrants, and making everyone feel at home in Portland. It was a great event! Thanks!!
