Please note that the 2009 National Recreational Facilities Institute and the 2009 National Aquatic Institute will be held simultaneously. By registering for either event you will be allowed to move freely between both events.

IACET Continuing Education Units

Payments: All payments are due with the registration form. A purchase order is not considered payment. Check must be postmarked by September 28, 2009, to qualify for the early-bird discount. Make checks and money orders payable to "NIRSA." Foreign checks must be imprinted, "US Funds." You will be emailed a receipt/confirmation within 15 days of receipt of your registration at the NIRSA National Center. If you do not receive an email, contact the NNC accounting department at (541) 766-8211. An email address is required to receive a receipt/confirmation of registration.

Refund Policy for Cancellations: All Institute cancellations and refund requests must be made in writing and mailed, faxed, or emailed directly to: Institute Refund, NIRSA, 4185 SW Research Way, Corvallis, OR 97333-1067, fax: (541) 766-8284, email: nirsa@nirsa.org

  • Refund requests received on or before September 28, 2009, will receive a full refund, less a $35 processing fee 
  • Refund requests received after September 28, 2009, but before October 20, 2009, will receive a 60% refund, less a $35 processing fee 
  • No refunds will be processed for requests received after October 20, 2009.
  • Refunds will not be granted for no-shows

IACET Continuing Education Units: NIRSA has been reviewed and approved by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) and will award Continuing Education Units (CEUs) to participants that successfully meet session attendance and participation criteria.
To receive CEU credit for the Collegiate Sport Club Symposium, a participant must:

  1. Register for CEUs (see registration form) 
  2. Attend and participate in the National Facilities Institute or National Aquatic Institute 
  3. Complete and sign session evaluations showing successful achievement of the session’s learning objectives. 
  4. Have lead presenter, session monitor, or NIRSA staff member verify attendance at the end of each CEU session on the CEU Participation Form, which will be included with CEU participant’s registration materials.

Non-Smoking Policy: For the comfort and health of attendees, smoking is not permitted at any NIRSA function. This includes general sessions, educational sessions, workshops, and socials.

Services for Persons With Disabilities: Contact Education Program Coordinator Cheryl Williams (Cheryl@nirsa.org) by September 28, 2009, if ADA arrangements are needed.

Photograph Content Ownership: NIRSA will use photographs taken during the 2009 National Facilities Institute presented by Mondo and the 2009 National Aquatic Institute to promote the Association and future events. Your registration form provides NIRSA with the unrestricted right to use photographs at its discretion for the purpose outlined above.
