National Intramural Sports Symposium
Date: June 9-11, 2010 • Tucson, Arizona
The National Intramural Sports Symposium is designed to provide a wide range of development opportunities for new and experienced intramural programmers. Through a variety of educational sessions in smaller, concentrated settings, the symposium will address a number of topics relevant to intramural sports.
Presentation proposals are now being accepted. The program committee has identified a number of "hot topics" and would especially appreciate proposals that address the following:
- Scheduling formats (number of games, play-off qualification processes, etc.)
- Student staffing innovations - (training and evaluation programs for supervisors, etc.)
- Innovative officials training techniques
- Use of technology in scheduling and managing events
- Risk management and safety
- Non-traditional programming (fantasy leagues, Texas hold'em, gaming, etc.)
- Diversity in Intramurals
- Marketing/Publicity/Outreach
