NIRSA National Recreation Facilities Institute Presented by Mondo

October 13-16, 2008 • Chicago, Illinois

Facilities design and management for professionals in non-profit recreation, sports, and fitness.

Recreational sports programs are a tremendous growth industry nationwide and provide a great marketable asset to colleges and universities. The booming recreational facilities construction trend has not faltered even in a slow economy. In the past 20 years, the cost to build a multimillion dollar recreational complex has gone from $2 million to $49 million. In the next five years, an estimated 400 indoor and 318 outdoor recreational facilities that NIRSA members manage, will be built or renovated for an estimated $4.9 billion.
