Payments: All payments are due with the registration form. A purchase order is not considered payment. All payments need to be postmarked by March 1, 2010 to qualify for the early-bird discount. Make checks and money orders payable to "NIRSA." Foreign checks must be imprinted, "US Funds." You will be emailed a receipt/confirmation within 15 days of receipt of your registration at the NIRSA National Center. If you do not receive an email, contact the NIRSA National Center at (541) 766-8211. An email address is required to receive a
receipt/confirmation of registration.
Refund Policy for all conference registration cancellations (including Career Opportunities Center and pre-conference workshops and trips): All conference cancellations and refund requests must be made in writing and mailed, faxed, or emailed directly to: Conference Refund, NIRSA, 4185 SW Research Way, Corvallis, OR 97333-1067, fax: (541) 766-8284, email: nirsa@nirsa.org
- Refund requests received on or before March 1, 2010 will receive a 90% refund
- Refund requests received from March 2, 2010 - March 31, 2010 will receive a 50% refund
- Refunds cannot be granted for requests received after April 1, 2010 or for no-shows at the conference
Photograph Content Ownership: NIRSA will use photographs taken during the 2010 NIRSA Annual Conference & Recreational Sports Exposition to promote the Association and future events. Your registration form provides NIRSA with the unrestricted right to use photographs at its discretion for the purpose outlined above.
Non-Smoking Policy: For the comfort and health of attendees, smoking is not permitted at any NIRSA function. This includes general sessions, educational sessions, workshops, socials, and the Recreational Sports Exposition.
Being Responsible: Recognizing that many will take advantage of the opportunity for socializing and alcohol consumption, the Board of Directors, Conference Program and Host Committees actively encourage responsible decision-making and healthy choices. Supporting this policy, non-alcoholic beverages will be offered at all NIRSA-sponsored receptions. In accordance with California State Law, no alcohol will be served to anyone under age 21.
What to Wear: Suggested conference attire is business casual. This includes khaki slacks, polo-type shirts, blazers, or sweaters. The attire is semiformal for the Honor Award Banquet.
