NIRSA Foundation Community Service

The NIRSA Foundation Board is thrilled to bring one of the most popular events from 2011 NIRSA Annual Conference to Tampa Bay for 2012: the Community Service Project. Now under the umbrella of annual NIRSA Foundation events, this year's NIRSA Foundation Community Service Project will be a beach cleanup held at the Courtney Campbell Causeway!

The causeway is a scenic highway running at sea level along the bay and connects the cities of Tampa and Clearwater. Participants in the causeway cleanup will experience unbeatable views of the bay and its wildlife while clearing the trash washed to shore by the daily tide. This is a great opportunity to exercise your time and talents for good, while lending a hand to our host city in keeping their waterfront clean.

NIRSA has had a long history of serving others: our students, our institutions, our profession, and our communities. A fundamental pillar to that endeavor is that we work on behalf of others to improve the human quality of life. Engage in this meaningful pre-conference service and team building opportunity with students and professional colleagues: register today!

Transportation to and from the cleanup as well as lunch will be provided.

Please contact NIRSA Foundation Coordinator, Brittany Rejda for more information about this event, or stop by the NIRSA Foundation booth during the conference.
