Mark Fletcher Fun Run/Walk

Friday, April 23, 2010 • Anaheim, California

The Host Committee in conjunction with the NIRSA Foundation is excited about presenting a long standing NIRSA tradition in Anaheim - the Fun Run/Walk. Named in honor of Mark Fletcher, a 32-year member of NIRSA who passed away last June, this will afford participants an opportunity to enjoy an early morning run/walk through the streets of Anaheim. Proceeds will go to the Foundation in Mark's name.

Scheduled for Friday morning, April 23 from 6:30 - 7:30am; this will be an untimed, 5k run/walk, starting in front of the Marriott Hotel. Participants will receive a commemorative t-shirt and prizes. 

To register, fill out the following information and mail/fax to NIRSA. Entries will be accepted on site up to race morning if space is available.

Mark had been a member of NIRSA since 1977 and was passionately involved in the Association for 32 years in many profound ways, including:

• Served on the NIRSA Foundation Board of Directors from 2002-2009. He served as Chair in 2004-2005 and Vice Chair in 2003-2004.
• Served as the Region II Vice President on the NIRSA Board of Directors from 1990 to 1992.
• Received the Region II Award of Merit in 1990.
• Served as a State Director.
• Hosted both regional and state conferences.
• Made numerous presentations at NIRSA national, regional, state, and specialty conferences.
• Served on many NIRSA committees.

Payments: All payments are due with the registration form. A purchase order is not considered payment. Make checks and money orders payable to "NIRSA Foundation" Foreign checks must be imprinted, "US Funds." You will be emailed a receipt/confirmation within 15 days of receipt of your registration at the NIRSA National Center. If you do not receive an email, contact the NIRSA National Center at (541) 766-8211. An email address is required to receive a receipt/confirmation of registration.

Refund Policy: Event will be held rain or shine.

Photograph Content Ownership: NIRSA will use photographs taken during the 2010 NIRSA Annual Conference & Recreational Sports Exposition to promote the Association and future events. Your registration form provides NIRSA with the unrestricted right to use photographs at its discretion for the purpose outlined above.
