Nick helps plan and implement several National Campus Championship Series (NCCS) events, including the National Volleyball Championships, Regional & National Basketball Championships, and Regional & National Flag Football Championships. He also manages the National Aquatic Institute, and the National Intramural Symposium. Nick has a passion for team sports. He's coached football, basketball, and baseball teams from all ages and genders including the 2002 Corvallis Pride women's professional tackle football team. Currently, he is the WR/DB coach for the Corvallis High School varsity
football team. Nick continues to be involved in the Corvallis community volunteering at the Boy's and Girl's Club, and serves as a mentor for at-risk youth. His work with the United Way earned him the 1997 John Stotsenberg Award, and a year later was nominated for Junior First Citizen in Corvallis.
Nick was a three-sport athlete at Corvallis High School where he played in three consecutive state championship games. In football, Nick tied a school record with 12 interceptions in a season and was awarded the Valley League Defensive Player of the Year.
As an OSU graduate of the class of ’93, Nick enjoys Beaver football, playing softball, and debating which is the best ever Corvallis High football team over pizza and beer. He also enjoys relaxing in the Black Butte area and is known to schedule his evenings around a Seinfeld rerun.
He is married with four children, Janie, 12 and Cal, 11, and Brody & Gavin who were born 9/7/07.
