Concurrent with the overwhelming growth of recreational sports, NIRSA has expanded and now has more than 500 individuals serving annually in elective and/or appointive leadership positions.

With increased demands for services to support new initiatives by the membership, the NIRSA National Center was dedicated in the summer of 1998 in Corvallis, Oregon!
