Mary is the Sr. Director of Professional Development & Leadership. She works closely with the NIRSA Board of Directors, Member Network, and other leadership groups as well as the Professional Development programs including the Annual Conference. She continues to work closely with Human Kinetics and the NIRSA membership to produce new publications and maintain the Sports Officials Education Program (development of resources and online courses). She also is the NNC liaison to the Recreational Sports Journal, the NIRSA Historian and maintains NIRSA's archives as the
in-house Historian. Before coming to NIRSA, Mary worked in recreation and higher education for eleven years. She is a past member of NIRSA and is a Certified Recreational Sports Specialist (CRSS).
Mary and her husband Bill (Associate Director of Recreational Sports at Oregon State University), enjoy family outings and attending sporting and school activities of their children Emma and Sam.
