NIRSA Governance Transition
The Governance Commission (GC) has been working diligently since June 2007 to collect and analyze information in order to make recommendations regarding NIRSA's governance structure. At the 2009 Annual Business Meeting in Charlotte, NIRSA Members adopted restated Bylaws and Articles of Incorporation reflecting the recommendations of the Governance Commission and endorsed by the NIRSA Board of Directors. The NIRSA Board of Directors has appointed a Governance Transition Team and seven (7) work teams to oversee implementation of the newly adopted Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws.
To date, the NIRSA Board has approved the overall Governance transition plan, job descriptions for leadership positions, and 2010 election processes. Please follow the links below to access various Board-approved components of the transition to NIRSA's Future First governance structure.
