Support the Future of Recreational Sports
NIRSA Foundation Golf Tournament
The NIRSA Foundation is pleased to present the 17th Annual NIRSA Foundation Golf Tournament in conjunction with the 2011 NIRSA Annual Conference & Recreational Sports Exposition. Since 1994, tournament proceeds benefiting the NIRSA Foundation have reached over $69,000. The main goals of the tournament are to have fun, meet new people, and support the NIRSA Foundation while enjoying a terrific day of golf. The tournament is a great way to interact with NIRSA professionals, students, sponsors, and exhibitors.
The tournament will utilize a four-person scramble format. Players can register individually or in teams. Scoring will be based on a modified team scramble handicap. Tournament play will begin at 8:00am Wednesday, April 13. Transportation will be provided.
Proceeds of the Golf Tournament and related events benefit the NIRSA Foundation, which supports educational programs and workshops, research, scholarships, publications, and professional development.
The host course is the English Turn Golf and Country Club. This Jack Nicklaus designed Par 72 Championship Golf Course presents a unique challenge to golfers of any skill level. Water comes into play on every hole.
Giant sand and waste bunkers guard many holes, and numerous grass depressions and mounds line the sculptured fairways. Huge tiered greens challenge putting strokes.
Each Golfer Will Receive:
Golf cart, driving range, lunch, prizes and awards. Transportation will be provided.
Registration: click on the CGA website to register or contact Dave Koch at dkoch@ucsd.edu
