2012 NIRSA Foundation Student Scholarships

Student Stipends for Preconference Workshops (30)

Student Scholarships for J. Michael Dunn Student Professional Development Workshop
In addition to the below referenced list, the Foundation Board is especially pleased to announce scholarship opportunities for students to attend the J. Michael Dunn Student Professional Development Workshop. This workshop was recently renamed to honor the memory of Mike Dunn, a long-time NIRSA member, former Honor Award recipient, and Past President of the NIRSA, who dedicated his life to advancing the collegiate recreational sports profession and the student experience. Students may apply for one of these pre-conference scholarships in addition to any of the annual conference scholarships for which they are eligible. (link to J. This year the J. Michael Dunn Endowment will provide thirty (30) student scholarships.

Student Scholarships for Annual Conference (23)

Student Scholarships cover the cost of registration fees for the 2012 NIRSA Annual Conference & Recreational Sports Exposition. Scholarships are awarded based on NIRSA involvement and also upon leadership and participation in activities on the applicant's campus, a detailed career objective essay, and a letter of recommendation from a NIRSA Professional Member.
