Horace Moody Award

The Horace Moody Awards

Nominations are due December 15, 2011

Eligibility

To be eligible for a Horace Moody Award nomination, the individual should meet the following criteria:

  • Must be nominated by a current student or professional NIRSA member.
  • Must serve as an active and good role model on their campus.
  • Must hold a current NIRSA professional membership and have been active for the last two years.

(Note: Individuals who have received this award within the last two years are not eligible.)

Selection Criteria

The nomination deadline is December 15th of each year and nominations should be sent to the current National Student Leader for NIRSA. Nominees may be submitted from any current student NIRSA member (including members of the selection committee).

In addition to consideration of the nominee's participation in NIRSA sponsored events, examples of contributions toward student development and involvement from the nominees own campus are legitimate items that support a candidate.

The selection committee will be composed of the Student Leadership Team (the National Student Leader will chair the committee and the six Regional Student Leaders will be the members of the award committee). This committee will recognize one professional member from each region with a regional Horace Moody Award.
